The attitude of the Nigeria immigration service, Oyo state chapter's officers is not giving at all. It has now be normalized to give tipps and anyone that registered online without going through any officers should forget about getting their passport on the normal time frame because it will take eternity. I hope the ministry of interior will see to this.
Please do not attempt to apply for a Visa on Arrival (VOA) by yourself. You may find yourself facing the day before your flight without any response, resulting in a significant waste of money on VOA application fees and airfare. This is essentially a type of scam carried out by a group that lacks any professional integrity regarding their work.
Like every other government agencies, the Nigerian Immigration, Oyo State chapter is riddled with inefficiency and complacency. The attitude of the workers here is nothing to write home about. The queues and the crowd here every week day is alarming. Despite booking an online appointment, it takes several months to get your international passport. It's discouraging. There are talks that you have to pay an extra amount of money unofficially, to get your passport processed on time despite the fact that the official amount for a 32 page passport is 25000 naira and 64 pages is meant to about 50000 naira. We hope that the minister of interior will look into this and make necessary changes. God bless Nigeria.
The queue here can make a pregnant woman dilate before her time, and at the end the purpose of waiting might not be met.
The officers are always ready to support you. It feels like they gain something special by making customers feel well attended to. Of course, there are various areas the system can improve on but the customer service covers up a multitude of issues.
